shit, we got a plug on the driver side of our 90T, 2wire grey plug. no idea where it goes. it's nex to our Boost sensor gmic.

and the thing on the next page showing the connector for the RSS, and its 4 prong, three connectors. So the wire i believe you are talking about cant be the RSS connector.
I also just looked at your picture again and realiized your RSS is already hooked up (DoH!!).

If your car is a '90, it looks like the progressive power steering plug. See at the bottom of your steering shaft if there is an additional mating plug for that one.
Double check your pps. I checked my 90 parts car and that is what it is for.GreenChevelleSS said:

don´t realy know for what the plug is. We all (maybe better said "most of us") have this small grey connector UNUSED here in germany. I thought this must be for a JDM or american market option, but it seems to be something special. Should not worry to leave unconnected.

Scratch that, sorry the plug I was referring to is farther down the loom. The plug I think you are referring to is near the starter and goes to the EGR valve on the later year MKIII's.
Gray one on left....
Maybe the EGR temp sensor plug. It is unplugged on my car (non-California model) and every other I have seen.
i can verify that it is unused. i just put my wiring harness back on from the rebuild and that is hanging there. dont worry about it
yea the car runs great and its not the cold start injector...and that pic above is the plug im refering too. What are these cars suppose to idle at cold? mines idleing at 1200 RPM and then slows down as it warms up for quite a while...
