i switched the pins out of the supra body side plug and put then into the lexus body side plug so it would plug into the lexus projector light plug. no cutting. the pins on the wire will go into either plug.

i also removed the glass from the front metal plate and painted it flat black then reassembled. i also fabbed up the mounts with threaded rod and nuts. i had to drill a hole into the inner bumper area for a rod to go thru and mount to the lexus bracket. better llighting but it is a round bulb in a square hole. the lexus bumper has a round hole the lense pokes thru.

been rolling around with these for year or so and have done this mod on 2 other cars besides mine. they work great. look great and are really bright. although not bright enough to get pulled over. ill get some pics of one of the cars that i did a little later.

if you need help looking for some of these housings or connectors, the j yard here in SD has plenty of them.

I went to Lexus and just bought new glass.

How much per lens? I thought about going there but I was scared to think of the cost...

How much do they go for, or rather would you be willing to buy and sell me a set? I'm wanting to add a pair to my cherokee ha.

how much were lenses from Lexus? i called my local yesterday and he said that he could only get the whole assembly for about $375 each, he could not get the covers by themselves.

* I am mounting mine with just some long bolt/nut on one hole and 2 small nut/bolts on the offset hole. Then took a piece of copper pipe, flattened it, bent it into [ shape x2 pieces, drilled holes on the tabs and then bent another 2 in opposite directions at either end to get a 'Z' look which will mount with 2 small bolts on the bracket & mount sides to get it centered on the opening.*

( i had some extra time at work and these were the materials available to me + a vice/saw/drill/hammer. Way easier if you are making a trip to HomeDepot )

So i am going to try to finally mount the good set of fogs tomorrow, it will be a snap, i'm sure. I have just gotten hung up on the poor quality second set of fogs i got out of the junkyard. i am goin to attempt to ghottofabulously engineer my own replacement solution to the foggy fog covers that i have now. some thin plexiglass, an angle grinder and some determination should be the right tools!

i will have some pictures up to show the simple little things i am doing, i may just make my own thread referencing this one in a link. If anyone figures out how much replacement lenses are i am still interested but this is fun.
