my boy is replicating a grip of stuff for the mk3 right now and im rockin his lip too! flexible is an understatement with this lip he makes! beat the crap out of it and not a scratch on it. my original bomex back in the day snapped and cracked soo many times and even adding more fiberglass to reenforce didnt do shit (im not alone on this complaint here)! and other people just went out and ordered more than one bomex lip to be on deck for when the next one shattered. i think thats UNFAIR TO THE BUYERS to make a product so undependable. sure they made the design, but that doesnt mean "Joe Blow" can mold one with his own hands in a backyard to look identicle but made out of better and stronger material. is that him being a non supra enthusiast?
how do u think bizzness these days stay in bizzness. they have to change as competition gets more fearce. companies are ALWAYS improving ther products or someone else is improving on thiers to appeal to the customers. a bomex kit is the same kit and material made since the 80's!!!!!! times have changed and so has the materials used to make them more durable. if bomex went ahead and made this witch then they wouldnt need to worry over shit liek this. but since they dont mind and DONT CARE about u spending money over and over for "new REAL" shit they are gonna lose bizz.
its not my fault or my buddies fault producing these things. buy direct if u want. brag all about ur original stuff if thats what u like to do. i get a kik out of my original parts as well. but dont act like half the shit on ur car isnt REALLy made in the PHILLIPINES, CHINA, or TIAWAN!! cause wake up and smell the coffee, distributers are saving a buck to make more. and if u prefer ur bomex kits made in phillipines and then add $$$ to have it shipped to japan then to USA and THEN add a high dollar price to thier "original" product they put thier name on and then call it "japanese" well then sorry to have just enlightened u on how BOMEX does business.
ya ur bomex stuff aint made in japan!!!! only thing original is the design and thats all its worth. the quality is a 7 at best on a scale of 1-10. again i prefre a product that lasts rather than an expensive product that fails.
take ur "original kit" to the track and hit a few cones and tell me how much fun u had throwin ur car around and acidnetly hitting cones and in turn DESTROYED ur fiberglass kit and means u have to order a new "original" one! again id rather wear something that i can take into comes and throw aroudn and have a BLAST enjoying the car rather than worrying about these "rare" peices on my car.
whats the diff between knock off body kits and DLing music u dont buy? SAME STUFF! ur not paying the original "designer" but going for what works for u! so u cant pick and chose everything. buy direct if u feel the need, but i garuntee u line up an authentic bomex bumper to a knock off, u wouldnt be able to tell the diffrence after paint!

proof is in the phucking pudding. if i didnt have a (as u call it) "cheapo knock off lip" when this was filmed, then i for sure would have shattered my front lip and bitched and moaned about "oh how i wish bomex would make these better, and wouldnt be so hard to get" ... well in reality... i have already done this a few times and gave up and went "knock off road" for "Cheap, Reliable and Fast!"
hard to tell but there is a nasty slope in the middle of this parkign lot and i hit my lip on it pretty hard on the rebound and with an "original bomex" it would have shattered FOR SURE! been there done that. hapyp with the new stuff. i WISH bomex would offer it. but since they dont they lose my bizz!!!!!
