Hey, i am a 7m guy in a desperate conflict for a good way to accomodate my upcoming fuel upgrade which consists of the basic 550 upgrade(fpr, walboro, jtube block off, and all that jazz) I have about $750ish left in my budget and i want the best bang for my buck to achieve 450ish on the 550's with a 57trim ct26 later on. Is the afm/safc route capable of this? I was hoping to find something that would be relatively easy to wire in or hopefully pnp! I am really not looking for anything that HAS to be shop tuned/installed i have plenty of references/friends to help with that and not enough money to take it to the only shop thats within 3hours of me to charge around 300-400 to get some good tuning. So which way should i go? I've heard of the e-manages, the map-ecu (1 and 2) the vpc, the fcon, and i'm sure you know the rest, but i know there are extra harnesses/sensors and all that stuff associated with these which ones will i need? or should i just stick with the ol' afm/safc(easier on my pocket, but not on my mind because i've never even thought of tuning before) i would greatly appreciate any contributions, i've done countless searching and there are so many different applications and variations of all these but i still have no idea once again thank you all:1zhelp: :icon_bigg

nice wheels.

what you need to do is settle on a goal, then choose how to get there.

no mention of a WB in your list....and that's something you NEED if you're not going to get the car tuned @ a shop.

sure the stock AFM + SAFC can do it, but whether or not it's the best option for your needs depends on what you want out of the car.

i've found an emanage for a pretty good price, would i be able to tune that with the available resources from the forum? or other trusted sites?

the eman is pretty good...as long as you're OK using the stock AFM or lex AFM. be sure you get the "support tool" (cable+SW)....without it the eman is pretty much useless.
