Ok so here it is ive put my motor back in after a freshin up. I messed with the wiring harness a little bit, unpinned the coil pack plug(harness side) and also the IAC( harness side) as well but Im pretty sure there where put back together right. That is the only things that have changed. The car starts up good for a few seconds then either dies or the idle goes from about 500rpm to 1200rpm up and down, also I can not rev the motor almost like there is no tps or something.

Things ive tried.... swapped coil packs with extra, also swapped injector resistor, ignitor swapped, I have a brand new tps on the car.

Please give me advice Ive been trying things for about a week, searched the internet and no one has a definite fix:1zhelp::1zhelp::1zhelp::1zhelp::1zhelp::1zhelp::1zhelp:

Redacted per Title 18 USC Section 798
Not saying that's the case but both of these symptoms could easily be caused by the wiring you messed with.

Code 14 is caused by a loss of feedback signal IGf (IGnition failure) from the igniter to the ECU that gets generated at every coil pack firing. Loss of IGf for more than a few seconds will result in the ECU halting fuel injection in order to protect the cylinders and catalyst.

Verify everything you did, especially the coil pack wiring, and inspect/cycle each connector in the ignition system. Check the IGf wire between igniter and ECU. Could also be the ECU itself but I seriously doubt it.

Unless you're trying to rev very soon after start the idle/rev problem is unrelated to 14 and will have to be addressed after it gets corrected.

I had check a diagram on the internet for the coil pack plug im thinking it is right because before the car would not start before, then repinned the plug accoding to the diagam(car started but runs like crap).

So the car will start and idle 500rpm to 1200rpm up and down. Can you give me an idea of where to start checking other things. Oh by the way the car was running before i pulled the motor for rebuild, and ive also have tried a few different CPS aswell/

Ya i figured once i got it running i would got it actually running i would go ahead and cailbrate the TPS. The main problem that I need to fix is code 14, today im going to take the harness out and look for broken wires again and redo what I have done already. Im to the point where I have no more ideas on how to fix code 14 and get the car running. If you guys have any advice on where to look on the harness for sertain wires please give me some ideas. The car is my daily and ive been out a car for almost 2 months now.

I took the harness out of the car yesterday and check that i had 12v running from the plug to the ecu(also fixed the ground wires that go to the mainfold). Had a wire(12v off the battery) going into each termnal of the plug everything checked out it seemed so im thinking maybe the CPS now. The car will start and idle put i have to put the CPS way turned up to get it to idle smoothish, but still no throttle.

I have dealt with this exact problem. I found mine in the harness grounds to the manifold. I actually repaired the ground with new eyelets, and new non conductive loom, also...someone mentioned the ground being in the position it was, was too close to the constant 12v wire going to the starter. I thought this guy was just shooting off at the mouth, but I took it to mine and moved mine up and away as far as possible from the 12v wire. Now I don't know if one of these issues alone fixed it, or both of them together fixed it....but I am yet to have these problem since.
