Looking for a CC pistol? How much are you willing to spend? I would recommend the S&W MP40C. It is .40cal, has a 10+1rd magazine, has interchangeable palm grips, tacticle rail, ambidextrous slide stop, and reversible magazine release. Here is the link. http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/...ted=tech&isFirearm=Y&parent_category_rn=15711 I'm not sure if civilians can purchase the MP series, or not. I wouldn't see why not. You just won't be able to order it with the magazine disconnect removed. Laser grips and tactical lights like the streamlight TLR-1 can be added as well.

Smaller as in overall size of the gun, or caliber? What is the gun going to be used for? Do you plan on having it on your person everyday, or just to keep it at the house? I suppose you could go with a .380cal. They are pretty small.

yes it will be on me almost daily... im looking for something that has decent stopping power, doesnt need to bring down an elephant or anything though, that is also smaller in caliber as well as overall size.

im looking at the .380 now it looks like a good candidate

CZ-83 is possible.. looks small yet carries 12 rounds

You can go with a Walther P22 if you want a 22...or Bersa .380 or the Walther .380. But honestly if you are going to go with a .380, you might as well get a 9mm...basically the same just 1mm longer case. There is a huge selection of Sub-compact pistols out there in 9mm and ammo is half the price of .380. Glock, Springfield XD, S&W M&PC, and the Beretta PX4C are all great choices. All in the 500-550 range. Glock will be 499.99, Springfield around 529.99, S&W 499.99 and has a 50 dollar rebate right now, and the Beretta is 549.99. Look to spend 500 on a good CC gun.

And yes civilians can buy the M&P, its just the name they gave it.

Or you can go with the Ruger LCP...Just like the Kel-Tec with a little more reliability and can be obtained for 299.99 but good luck finding one.

Yea the P22 would be a good choice...it is a great gun...I sell a ton of them and have used one and have nothing but good stories about it.

If you get a suppressed one, you hear nothing but the action of the pistol and the shell ejecting when it is shot. A gun store owner in Arizona demonstrated it for me and I was shocked.
A buddy of mine had a little P22 and it was very fun to shoot. It is a small gun and very easy to handle. I am considering two for me and my wife to go plinking.

Yea you could go with the Sig P232...great gun. Or an Hk P2000. Both are great guns but a little higher on the price range.

Don't get the Sig Mosquito though...Might as well be called a Jamomatic...all it does is jam.

With the Walther, I would say that you could supress is being that is is already threaded for a .22 Supressor but I noticed you are in Cali. Guess not.

Yea...buddy of mine demonstrated it to me with a GemTech Outback and it was pretty sweet.

It is a little easier to get a Suppressor here in Alabama though I am guessing. All we have is a $200 one time tax on any class 3 items...Alabama got rid of Class licences in 2004 and went to this. It is pretty awesome.

What is the process like in KA Medic?

Also I think its funny that some of our pistols that have more than 10RD capacity say "Not CA Legal" haha. When I sell those people are like WTF?

I'm not really in Kansas. Arizona was good for gun laws. I moved, however and local laws might be tough on suppressors. I called and spoke with the Sheriff directly, and although he was a really nice guy, I believe he said that he doesn't have any licensed suppressors in this county, and only recalls one short-barreled rifle. This doesn't mean that he will not allow it, but he did say it may depend on a few things, like if you had a security clearance it may make it easier. I need to compile a list of more questions for him, because it sounded like he was guessing on the suppressor issue. If I recall, it's his choice.
