My left hand sits at about 11:30 on all wheels, leaving the right hand free for shifting. I like the positioning of this particular switch, because in casual (cruise) driving, that free hand can sit on my knee to adjust the CC.

I've had all 4 Steering wheel designs for the Supra (switched the 86.5's to a MOMO TTR wheel though, so no more cruise), I like my 89's design, especially when someone's driving next to you and sees you pushing buttons on your 80's sports car's steering wheel..

I do believe the 90+ stalk looks much cleaner, and I figured out how to use it instantly (literally) on my brother's SC300, it was like an instinct, haha..

I want my dad's 98 Rav4 steering wheel, same as the 98 Supra, minus the leather, and I believe that one would plug and play on 90+ Supras

My '96 4runner has that CC switch, but on the right side of the wheel at about 4 oclock... it's much handier than the Supra's cruise controls on the wheel, which I rarely, if ever, use... for two reasons: it's not at my finger tips so I'd have to think about using it, reach over and operate the controls, then relax again... Then some jerk would slow down infront of me and I'd turn it off to slow down with him, then drop two gears and pass... then I'd not bother turning it back on. The other reason is that I find speed control much easier with the manual and 7M than the auto in my 4runner.

I use cruise on the 4runner when the weather is very nice and traffic is thin.

I 100% approve of the change in cruise control switches from 89 to 90. The stalk is way better.

Personal preference I know, but I hate having cruise buttons on the front of the steering wheel.

Toyota still uses this design to this day.

The CC on our company van ('01 Sienna) is IDENTICAL to the one on my supra. With only very minor differences, the other two stalks look like the supra's as well. Wonder if anyone has been successful wiring newer stalks into a sup. Wiring probably wouldn't be as much of an issue as fixing it to the steering column itself. Celica might work..
