Picture of FIPG usage on Valve Covers during valve cover gasket replacement?

Yeah, that would be a scary mistake to make! 12 times the torque cannot be good for threads, heads, or covers.
You'll snap the ears off of the cam covers long before you get there. I've seen it many times (though it hasn't happened to me, thankfully.)
Yuck, not a pleasant thought at all Dan. Shame the screws don't snap before the covers.
Back to my original concern this is how much FIPG I used this morning. Seemed like a good amount based on the advice everyone offered and how much squeezed out the sides:

Ya that's good. Just needs to fill the corner as a rubber gasket would never be able to get in there perfectly and seal.
