hi yea i was wonderin if anyone can give me advice on how to choose the proper waste as far as size and also spring tension i believe because i guess theres an option on wat psi the spring will be at idk....please shed some light on this thanks
The spring is how much boost you can run with that wastegate without a boost controller. All the tubular manifolds for a 7m use HKS standard 4-bolt flanges although because of the expense of this wastegate brand new many people just cut it off and weld another flange for another wastegate on.
What I've learned is the larger the diameter, the more control over lower boost levels.
(more air being bypassed the turbine.) On most applications... big motors and BIG turbos means larger wastegate(s).
The rule of thumb is "Run half the max boost pressure spring intended on running." (If you plan on max boost of 30psi, then get a 15psi spring... etc.)
Although, many people have done 30+psi with a 10.5psi spring.
