You know what I think: In Florida the cars are cheaper than most of the country. I think that in Upstate NY, the prices are higher then the national average – even with the cars having rust too! In Florida, the cars have (from what I have seen) no rust. And I will speculate that because Florida is a place where many vacation in during the winter, many cars are not driven back to the original location OR people leave and just sell their cars. The prices of cars I have seen down there is very enticing indeed. Makes me wonder if it is a smart idea to build a car in NY -- that I have to do rust repair on, when I could just find one that is rust free in Florida at cheap prices, since I plan on living there relatively soon anyways.Funny you should say that, I was just looking for that info on Google yesterday. Congratulations and excuse for the late response :icon_razz
Actually, the funny thing about that is that if you check the red book that has the records and shit, you'll notice it came from Conneticuit originally! There is about an inch of rust on one of the back rear parts, but otherwise its absolutely clean.
The car originally was going for $4000 before I bought it. Thats when it was working. Dealer took it to get it fixed (dont know why, I doubt anything was broken) and they ended up making it worse. Next thing you know, he's selling it for $800 in the paper, I give him $500 cash for it.
For the record, I replaced spark plugs and wires and it ran showroom condition. However, turbo was bad. How did I know? Ask the 10s of 100s of people on the interstate that got "sprayed for mosquitoes"!!! :biglaugh:
So I'm getting an upgraded CT-26 for it, but otherwise no problems whatsoever.
