Yep, those PETA folks are right up there on the intelligence scale with hikers who are mauled by bears, or are standing next to Bison to get their photo taken. (I can't tell you how many times, living near Yellowstone we hear of these fools.)
A few years ago, some jackass from Seattle came up and was hiking in the back country. (Without any clue of what he's walking into.) Anyway, he get's mauled, and is almost killed. The forrest service has to decide if the bear needs to be removed, relocated or put down. The PETA wanks show up and demand that nothing is done to the bear. (I agree with this, actually, they should have fed the bear the PETA folks.. or would that be AETP? LOL Stands for Animals Eating Tasty PETA members....) SO, the bear ends up mauling another hiker just a few months later. (Wonder how that happend? Oh, the bear learned that people are easy prey, and then had to be put down. It could have been moved to an area where nobody goes, and might have lived.)
Now, don't get me wrong, I don't give a rat fart about that bear, but it just seems like they are promoting one version of reality, and it's far from reality. (But they can't make the step back to see what lunacy they are promoting, so the lumber on in ignorance.)
Just my 2lbs of nice jucy steak... Grilled of course..
Same goes for the narrow sighted treehuggers that are suing now to stop development of any "roadless" areas. (You know, the Clinton last hour executive order that placed millions of acres of prime woodland into limbo, so it could be consumed in out of control forrest fires.)
The reality is, you either manage it, and log the areas, or they are burned by fires. Nature is going to remove the trees, so why not log them and get some use out of the wood products? (I know you all love living in houses, where do you think those came from? Oh, gee, now I have to live in tents. But wait, there's more! Those tents are made of petrochemicals, and that's oil, and we are fighting wars for oil so you can't support the war machine, so no nylon tents for you, now sleep under the stars.... Oh, whats that? That cotton cloth your using as sheets was produced in China? With prison camp labor? Oh, can't be true, but YES it is, you must now run around naked, since nothing you can wear, or live in comes naturally except for the bare skin on your silly liberal ass.) Good luck surving naked and limited to eating a vegan diet. (Try cooking things without iron, or natural gas. How dare you burn that wood, you tree killer!)
LOL think about it. The entire planet is consumable. We just have to be smart about the consumption.
I say Earth First! (We will log, mine and drill the other planets later.)
