ok I went online and searched every place I can think of for some loctite 262 but nowhere, I searched every autozone in san diego, nowhere.

I found some "permatex high strength threadlocker RED" but I dunno if this would be strong enough, anyone have any input? personal experiences?

The funny thing is this stuff is all over the place and I was referred to this over and over again.

I really dont want my flywheel bolts backing out so let me know if I need to extend my search

Same difference, just a different brand. It's fine.

thanks alot, just installed my flywheel a few minutes ago!

one more question, I am missing 1 single pressure plate bolt, is there anything unique about these bolts? or can I go down to a hardware store and match it?

Hardware store is fine but I'd replace every single one if that was the case....that way they are all the same and all the same weight....make sure to get grade8 bolts though!

I know, I definitely would but time is a big issue. I will more then likely pull my tranny back out next month so I can upgrade the clutch and flywheel anyway

ok I just went and bought 6 bolts from my local hardware store. they measured the bolts and told me they are 5/16, grade 8, and 1 1/2. I bought 6 and they dont fit. they screw in a tiny bit but it gets too hard, I dont wanna force em in though

using the correct torque sequence with new bolts, chased/cleaned female threads and oil lubricant, threadlocker is unnecessary. as for the pressure plate bolts, use the highest grade you can find ( 8.8 or 10.9)

Supra's are metric... You won't find a single SAE bolt on a Supra. Your hardware store guys are idiots.
