So, I've been looking around for some performance rotors and pads for my 91' turbo. I'm somewhat on a budget but I don't want to go to cheap and get crap. Do any of you guys know a good place to get some either slotted, drilled, or slotted/drilled? Also, what do you recommend out of the 3 of those. I want them to last and not crack or anything. I have about $300 give or take to spend. Thanks a lot for looking and let me know what you guys and gals thing. :1zhelp:

Look at some of our authorized vendors. They carry slotted rotors. For the 300 dollar range for the full set maybe check 935's slotted rotor set? I was looking at powerslot myself, but thats a bit over 300.

i bought my rotors from driftmotion. had a little mixup but they took care of me right away. i'd buy again from aaron in a heartbeat.

they're drilled/slotted brembo rotors, but if i had to buy again id just get the slotted.

as for pads, im using porterfield r4s pads. they haven't let me down yet, along with porterfield stainless lines.

I've seen some really good deals on 935motorsports but I haven't checked driftmotion for brake parts yet. I think 935 has a full kit with all 4 rotors, all the pads, and ss lines for around $400???

Did some looking around and decided to go with the 935 Motorsports Slotted Rotor Full Set for $169. Anyone have any reviews with these? Haven't decided on what kind of pads yet. Also, for the shipping options on their site, what does it mean "Per item best way" mean. Would it be $15 or $60 since its 4 rotors?

I would suggest getting slotted or blank. Drilled rotors will crack. Sure porsche (hope that's the correct spelling) uses them, but they crack on them too; they look cool though. On the slotted or blank note if it's a daily driver that sees some auto-x or drag, personally I'd get blanks; but if it's a DD that sees track use, I'd use slotted.

I'm probably getting the slotted ones from 935motorsports. It's going to be my DD and the occasional drag race. I'm not into auto-x.

Brembo blanks.
More surface area, never had a problem with brake fade(hard street use/light track use.)
and They won't crack like drilled. I was looking for slotted but I really don't think it's worth it. You'll notice a much bigger difference from a good set of pads.

Like I said before, I think that I'm going with the 935motorsports inhouse special for 4 rotors. Description says they are quality OEM ones that have been CNC machine slotted. They are $169 plus shipping. Now I just have to find some decend pads. I'm not going for anything special. Maybe just a little bit better than OEM. I'm on a budget still.

That is your best bet 'cause like stated earlier drilled hole rotors will start to get small cracks around the holes.:naughty:

Just to avoid confusion, our slotted rotors are not OEM. They are whatever aftermarket rotor is available at the time. They sometimes come from Japan or Canada.

I have a set on my daily driver. It is not an AutoX car, so I can't comment on that. However, it is about 4000 lbs wet so believe me it is getting a work out. On the way back from a weekend trip (downhill), I toasted the OEM pads from overheat (4 people on the car). The rotors did not warp and still are in service.

The main question is how soon they will warp, if at all. We only sell slotted or blank, we do not sell drilled rotors at all, unless requested on a BBK.

Robert, I ended up buying the 4 slotted rotors from your site, the $169 ones. Thanks and if you could let me know when they ship. Thanks.
