If you end up replacing the cylinders, you won't need to drop the tranny. The master is easily reachable from the the engine bay and driver's kick panel. The slave is on the driver's side of the tranny, right below the driver in the tranny tunnel.
You'll NEED line wrenches. I didn't have any and tried with an open ended wrench. Cost me a ton of hassle and time, as I almost rounded the nut completely. Get a line wrench if you dont have one and read through the tsrm. The hardest part for me was getting the fluid lines off and back on. The threads will be rather delicate, i believe, but need to be tightened very tight. Take your time, hand thread them to start and you should be fine.
