i was thinking if it was possible to add a pcv valve to our pcv system
its just an idea cause im sick of having oil in my intake
if this isnt possible then im just gonna make myself a catch can
i figure this might be a lil simpler tho
any input would be greatly appreciated

???

Sure, you can add a check valve.... but if you install it correctly it's not going to do anything... The purpose of the PCV system is to let those vapors OUT of the engine and remove excess crankcase pressure, not create it; it doesn't take air in.

ok
i was just a lil misguided
im just trying to lessen the amount of oil that actually gets into the intake tract so im guessing that the catch can is the only way to clean those vapors before they go into the intake??????

That's right. If your can doesn't have it, be sure to put some stainless steel wool in there with a hose that guides the gases to the bottom of the can to flow back up through the wool. Otherwise the can will be ineffective (i.e. Greddy cans)

Greddy's catch cans and others built in the same manner aren't ineffective, they're just inefficient. ;) Tek's right though, a couple simple mods can make a big difference.
