If you have been keeping up with me on my problem, then check this out and tell me anything I missed. These are items Im gonna need, and while Im down there, gonna replace anyways.

These are the things I wish to purchase, the help I need with certain items will have a * instead of a price, I need to know where I can purchase them online and how much:

Clevite rod bearings, main bearings and thrust washers:$80
1 new set of valve keepers: $3.99 at Autozone
Toga Oil Pump: $217 from HPFreaks
New piston rings: $40 from IPP
EGR Block Off Plates: *
Front and Rear Main Seals: *
Various new hoses (bigger ones): *
HoseTechniques vac kit: $65 from SupraSport
Fel-Pro Head Gasket: -$65 (got it for free NEW)
K&N FIPK Intake Filter: -$145 (Got it free)
ARP Head Bolts: $100 (Anywhere)
Engine Hoist, stand and load leveler:$160 or so from ???
Simple Green MAX (1 Gallon): $7.99
Spring compressor tool (#GA318A) to put my valves back in: $50
\
Still getting stuff, if anyone knows any of these parts I can get OEM for cheaper, lemme know.

Im hoping when this is done, the cars gonna have any lost power from all that carbon shit back to normal. While the car is sitting there Im painting my interior and doing that too. Might as well go all the way... free beer to any helpers.

Harbor freight for the engine hoist, Toyota dealer for oem front and rear main seals. Don't put that felpro headgasket in there, or we will see this thread again in about 6 months. Titan 1.4mm headgasket or cometic headgasket.

Always, thats why I ask on here, I get honest advice and none of you fuck around. You all agree like I do that these cars deserve the very best. Im not going cheap on this anymore, at first I was like well how cheap can I fix it? Fuck that, this things getting FULL rebuild, top to fucking bottom, best parts for the N/A, only thing that Im keeping if its ok is the crank.

the 129 one flips over if you pull an engine and tranny combo...
I just had to LOL on that one...

Pheonix, built it strong enough, and you could eventually boost that 7M for some fun power...

well, Ive got a GTE Im gonna build over the next year and then drop that in. The GE I just want NA right now and for it to run nice, fast when I want, but nice. I mainly want to focus on cleaning it all up, including the damn engine bay...

So that $129 one will really flip if I pull them together? Dammit, I heard of tons of people getting a good lift for $100 - $130.... crap.

Im also debating getting all new rods so this BS doesnt happen again, or at least improve my chances, I found eagle rods or some shit for around $300, those any good or am I stuck spending $700 on a new set of rods?

Boo... Eagles are fine... One of us is using them... :icon_bigg

And dont put forged rods and pistons in an NA, you'll never need them... *meaning, it'll never make enough power to make them worth the money*

For your engine hoist look at Northern tools. I am in Houston and I picked up a 2 ton hoist/engine stand combo for around $200 if I remember right, it's been a while. They have the hoists from just over $100 on up. The cheap one will tip as the legs go straight out, but the slightly more expensive ones have angled legs that are more stable.

Also see Jeff at Champion for any dealer stuff you need. Great prices for a dealer and it always amazes me how much supra stuff they stock, I haven't had to wait on anything from him ever.

Hey thanks for the tip man. I needed an engine stand too. I might get that combo, does the hoist with this combo have the angled legs too?

I heard to go to champions for some stock parts, I need to go over there soon.

Yeah it has the angled legs. I have used it 4 or 5 times to pull the engine and tranny and it works fine. I got the combo when they had a deal going and I think it was $179, a great deal. Go check em out and see what specials they have right now. The store I use is close to Champion as well, it's on I-45 just south of 610.
