What up ya'lls! I'm Rob and I'm new to the forums but not at all new to the Supra. I would have been on the forums a long time ago, but as soon as I bought my Supra i was shipped off to Japan for the military. So now that I'm back and I received my Supra out of storage, and I've been having nothing but problems with my Supra and I really want to get rid of it. I don't know if I should part it out or fix some of the minor problems and sell it. I don't really want to part it, because I just got a paint job on the car, and I don't know the demands on Supra parts. I'm sorry but I'm not a Supra fan anymore as these cars are only really good at drag racing. Drag racing is not my thing. And it would cost me way too much to make it do anything else. So what should I do?:1zhelp:

Drag racing in an MKIII you say? That's the only thing they're good for? lol, That's one of the least best things they're good for...

Fix the car and take it for some nice long cruises, THAT's what these cars are good for....

ok, maybe not drag racing either, but I want something that can do it all. Plus I want to get rid of it so I can fund my Hachiroku project. Plus I hate working on it, I get anxiety attacks from all the hoses and tubes in side the engine bay. Way too many tubes and hoses!

I would say if it runs sell as a whole car. If it doesn't run or stay running sell as parts.

Sell now = less money but faster money.
Sell over time as parts = more money a lot more time.

It runs, but it burns or leaks oil and I don't want to pay upwards of a grand to try and get it fix just so I can sell it.

First of all, I couldnt ever sell a supra, too much invested, but if your mind is made up, then I would definitely sell it vs. parting it out. You got a nice looking foundation right there and Im sure someone is looking for a nice body to put their motor in.

I agree, nice car.... *snaps fingers* Damn, so much for a parts car...heheh. I'd say fix it and get rid of it if you don't want it anymore.... I'd say get a JDM motor for it, and if you don't want to do the swap yourself, I know a killer mechanic in N Las Vegas, I might be able to get you a decent deal on doing a swap.

Well it just burns oil and leaks oil just a little bit. I guess from sitting in storage for over 3 years, the A/C and the heater doesn't want to work anymore. Maybe the A/C just needs to be charged, I'm done with Supra's. I'm going older as I said before I have a Hachiroku project and I also have a 1981 Starlet sitting in the garage waiting for me to built back up. So let me know about this shop here in Vegas, maybe they can help me with the Starlet.
