It depends on if your dealer person wants to put any effort into the search.

I was looking for a part and was told by several different parts jockeys that I would have to buy the entire wing to get the panel that fits under the center brake light (89+ wing).

I found another parts guy that I trust and he put some extra time and energy in his search and not only found the part but also the gasket that goes with it. He brought it in without my having to prepay for it and if it was wrong he would just send it back.

Door Lock Bezel Clips:

As for the intercooler "clips" I only see 7 bolts in there, 4 of one type, 3 of another type. Where are these clips?

Are you speaking of the "speed-nut" clips? Looks like a clip w/ threads on the back side? If so, you can get those @ just about any auto parts store.

I don't see them in the EPC either.

Sounds like he's looking for the captive nut like things that are throughout the mounting brackets for the intercooler.

I wouldn't say Toyota is bad at it, just that sometimes they list stuff in odd places that not everyone would think of, even though maybe someone would.

I work at a Toyota dealer in Parts, it's not too bad most of the time.
