parking brake shoes?

so, long story short my parking brakes are shot, and i cant find them anywhere without it being stupid expensive, anybody know where i can find them?

Parking brakes are things that don't normally get replaced too terribly often, so it's expected for them to be a little more expensive.

You can get just the shoes for a fair enough price, but should really replace everything while you're in there, as I highly doubt any of it has been touched in a while (shoes, springs, clips, etc)

Do it once, do it right. Best motto to live by :)

Yeah but how do you remove the old arm from the old shoe? You know, the little arm that holds the parking brake cable? I think I need a special wrench.

There's a "C washer" you have to bend open to get the one shoe off the brake lever. The TSRM shows it all.
I find you don't need the tool to get the hold-down cups on and off if you have strong fingers. They are the most annoying part of the process. Locking needle-nose pliers are great for working with all those springs.
