currently i have a Optima battery and i tested it one day it shows 1000cca out of 800, then the next day i test it it says bad battery and shows 275/800
so i know its draining overnight or something.
i just checked my fuses without the key in the ignition at the driver foot rest area, and these fuses are the only ones lighting up
stop 20A
Fog 15A

i tested these with the driver door open.
are these suppose to be on without the key in the ignition?
thanks.

i have a red top. i've had my ignition left on by a tow truck driver for 3 days straight and my radio still worked fine. Keep in mind when ign is on its also powering a 1200watt amp in the rear.

if you lose charge over night you have something wrong that has nothing to do with the battery. the battery is only there for start up and small loads(i.e. keeping memory) when the car is off.

ive been tought that to find a parasitic load that you pull the batt cables off hook up a dmm on resistance and pull one fuse at a time till the resistance goes away. when it goes away you go threw that circuit to find the problem. usually to do this you have to wait about 30 min for the shut down of the circuits.

if im wrong please correct.
