UPDATE.. Checkout www.suprafest.ca for the forum talk and details about the meet!

Hey guys! Now to announce the event schedule for this year and our hotel reservations are now open!

We have the following planned for this years big meet!

Friday, August 4th:

We will be dynoing at Kinetic Motorsports in Langley during the day and then head out to Mission raceway park to participate at the Street Legal Drags event that night. It goes on from 5pm-11pm
The dyno will begin when Kinetic opens in the morning and end some time in the later afternoon in time to head out to the track! We should plan to arrive in Mission around 5pm. Jermey Norquay AKA turbodrifter on the SF will be handling our dyno session and is working out a very good deal for us (details to come soon).

Saturday, August 5th:

We’re proud to announce a PacNW Nationals and Suprafest first, an all Supra Autocross for this day! The VCMC autocross club will be running this specifically tailored event for us at Boundary Bay Airport near Ladner (just off Hwy 99). Some VCMC members will be on hand to help us run the event and in exchange will be participating when not working. We will be pre-selling spots for this event when registration for the PacNW Suprafest Nationals opens up (very soon). We have to pre sell a certain number of spots in advance in order to guarantee that our costs are covered. If we don’t fill these spots by the last couple weeks we will be forced to open them up to another local Toyota car club so stay tuned and jump in so we can keep it all Supra! Everyone will have fun at this event! We have had many requests for this type of event so time to step in! This will be a very affordable event that everyone regardless of mods and experience can participate in, watch for Seamus AKA Suprafiend’s extra info on the sport of autocross.

Sunday, August 6th:

We will be holding a show and shine, bbq and awards ceremony at a park in the Langley area. More details will be announced soon but this event should run from 9:30am to around 3pm to allow out of towners to get a head start on the trip home.

Hotel Reservations:

We have 20 rooms reserved for us at the swank Hampton Inn in Langley (a member of the Hilton chain). The Hampton is located near 200th St on Highway 10, right next door to the famed Langley Java Hut where hot rods, imports and more hang out on Friday and Sat nights! The Hampton has a little pool and water slide, exercise room (or not) and a really good breakfast included with your room rental. With our group rate, rooms with two queens are $120cdn + tax per night and they have waved the extra person fee for up to 4 people per room. Our group rates are good from August 3rd to 6th if you choose to get in early or stay the night on Sunday, but you can stay for as few days as you like. Our 20 reserved rooms are released on July 4th so get your booking in ASAP. There are smoking and non smoking rooms available, and for and extra $10 single king size bed rooms (limited availability). Check out www.hamptoninnlangley.com for additional details and call 1-866-530-530-6545 or 604-530-6545 to book your room and say you are part of the SUPRAFEST NATIONALS event to receive the group rates.

So you have it folks! You have some details and if any questions you can contact any of the organizers or simply post in this thread.

Thanks
Duane

im a newb with that country, something that would help everyone is addresses for the different places where these events will take place so we can plan our routes and know where we are going.

I dont know any of those locations so an address would be awsome to start looking up the highways and roads also to give people we want to bring allong an idea of where we are going.

Can we get a sticky grim?

Seems like you guys have been hard at work with this. Anybody know if minors can get over the boarder alone?

We will have flyers ready for this event soon plus a website and forum, all info that is needed will be available through those sources. Stay tuned for that.

As promised, here is a little bit of info on the sport of Autocross. First off, what is it? Autocross is the cheapest, least car abusive form of motorports available to race your street car in. You race on a course defined by pylons on a large paved area (an old runway in our case). You run solo, one car at a time and the object is to get the fastest lap time in your class. All the cars are divided into different classes depending on how competitive they are in stock form and what mods have been done to them. Generally all the classes are divided into 2 heats, and everyone in one of those heats races while the people in the other heat work the course. Autocross is an intense test of speed, skill and machine, and a total adrenaline rush. The risks are low (cone scuffs that buff off), the price is right (about the same as going drag racing) and the experience is invaluable.

This autocross is being custom tailored to our needs. Don’t worry about embarrassing yourself out there, this is a learning experience and there will be at least 20 something other Supra owners there trying it for the first time too. There will be a group of VCMC senior drivers running this event for us and when they are not working the course they will be racing with us so you can see how the pros do it, go for rides with them, or get them to go for rides with you and get some pointers. To spice things up a little we’re going to throw in some awards for the fastest drivers in each class but don’t concern your selves about the competition too much, we’re doing this to have fun first and foremost! More info to come soon.

I'm sure they will ask for it. If you don't show and leave that room empty that night then they need a way to be reimbursed for it, every hotel is the same. Most hotels require one in place of damage depoists too.

July 4th is the day our reserved rooms are released back to the public, don't leave it till the better end, we only have 20 rooms set aside!

They may give you a little hassel at the border when it comes to bringing parts over, either way. If they're parts that could actually break and you claim they're spares you might be alright. If you intend to sell them and tell them that, they may want some tax money or such bs. I had some serious problems going into the states with some parts I was bringing for a friend a couple months ago, they wouldn't let me cross with them because they thought my values I listed were too low (this is going into the US from Canada).

I was down in Portland last week and back the next day, its an easy 6 hour drive. Just time it so you miss rush hour in Seattle AND Portland lol.
