P71 Driveshaft

ok so i had an idea i work for state police and have access to a BUNCH of the crown vic all aluminum driveshafts. My question is could i change the ends so they would fit into the supra rear end and the tranny, and get the dimensions from the supra and have the Crown Vic drive shaft cut down and rewelded to fit in the supra. There is a shop in my area that specializes in doin custom driveshafts for any car you could think of and they said they could do it if i got the dimensions.

You can have it done, but is it going to be worth it? You can buy them new from shaftmasters for around $300.00 I think. You'll have to look because I dont' remember. How much are they going to charge you to do the cutting, welding and balancing on yours?
