alright so i have a mk3..i recently bought it for 1000 of a guy who had 2 sell it soon since he was moving...anyway..he said he had put arp bolts and hks mhg 1.2 mm ..my thing is i 4got to ask him if he got the block and head machined..my thing is...i been reading peopel re torquing there head...is that possible for me to do?..i mean im seeing coolant in spark plug 1...thing is this head gasket prolly only has couple hundred miles on it...so it cant be a bhg ...hope fully...im abouta ask the owner at what torque he did it at..cuz i know its like 74 or what not......also on his other supra it had a rodknock..im assuming its becuase he ran low on oil...1) he striped the hell out of both oil pans i had to put teflon on the one i bought so oil wouldnt leak...so im assuming he didnt know oil was leaking out of his supra which caused a massive low amount of oil therefore = rodknock..

To be short, i wouldnt expect much or hold my breath for long given hes 0-2 so far ;)

Run to autozone, buy the block tester fluid ($7) and rent the block tester tool (money is returned when tool is). If your getting coolant in the combustion chamber there will be combustion gases in the coolant.

Lol coolant on spark plug sounds like a dead give away. If youre unsure id test it, but if it were me id pull the head anyways seeing as i want to see what else he may have screwed up.

if he fixed a BHG and let coolant get in the oil, then ran it even for a short wile this will cause rod knock as well. i say at lest check the head bolts/studs
