so my recently purchased 1jz supra is having a bit of a problem, it over heats about as fast as it boosts :(. and after i shut it off steaming coolant sprays from somewhere near the turbo, im guessing the thermostat is stuck any tips on what it could be or how to take out the thermostat without removing the turbos, thanks

You don't have to remove the turbo to change the thermostat. See if you have enough coolant in the system. If you have pressure in the upper radiator hose.

Check and change the radiator cap. This is one of the last thing people check and it impirtant that the cap is in good working order. If it is more than a year old, throw it away.
Also, how is your fans? Are you running hydrofans? Are they spinning at proper speed?
Radiator - how old is it? Clogged? Could be.

IF the check engine light is on, then the car is thrwoing a code. Check for codes and fix if necessary.

Without a thermostat your warm up times will increase by a lot, if you ever reach fully warm that is... If you never reach operating temp, your car will run rich, you will get bad fuel economy, and you can cause unnecessary wear to certain engine parts.
