is there a sure way to find out its the temp sensor? easiest way possible

ok this may seem like a dumb quesiton but where is hte temp sensor is it one of the ones near the thermo housing?

It's the single wire sensor on the side of the T Stat housing it has a rectangle plug.

ok by bro just said it cant be the temp sensor because when the car is parked it boils the water in the rad and shoots steam into the overflow bottle.
