the only thing i can sugest is replace the radiator cap.

burp the cooling system

change out the thermostat

and check the raiator for leaks

its usually one of those problems

Best advise I could give is to have a compression test done BEFORE you spend a bunch of money replacing parts. These cars are notorious for Blown Head Gaskets (BHG).

You should buy the car a fan shroud to take full advantage of the fan.

I once bought an 87 that looked almost exactly like yours, and had the same 1 week before mine started overheating. Mine was BHG, but that doesn't mean yours is. The only sure thing is, if you keep driving it, it will be. Get the overheating figured out IMMEDIATELY! It only takes one good overheat to warp an aluminum head.

The radiator looks like it's seen better days which means the rest of the system is probably the same. How's it look inside the radiator? Don't know if it would help to flush out the system with a radiator flush, then maybe change out the thermostat and cap. Check for leaks and fill with 50/50 anti, see what happens. You don't want it going hotter than what the pics show.

The radiator looks like it needs replacing, I will have to anyways if I put I turbo engine in it. Its rusty inside. What radiator (brand, Size, want to buy one soon to get this fixed) would yall suggest I install if I did put a 2jz in it.
And I am from texas so i do say Yall!

Thank you for the support guys, tonight I am going to try to make it to a friends shop, see what we can do there. NEW Problems Just sitting with no throttle the oil pressure is around 10 or 5 though when given gas moves to 30 or 35. Normal , or no. One of my buddies with a 300zx is helping me on this project and says that it should be more like 20. And there’s more after over heated I turned off. Then let it cool of and start again, it started very badly with the engine not idling good then I turned off and started again and it would not start for two tries. Then had to give it a good amount of gas to keep from dieing.

No, 7m idle oil pressure is only rated at 4 psi. Not an issue. (I am sure someone will correct me if n/a is different but I know this to be true on turbos)

get a leak down test done. It will tell you ALL kinds of things wrong with the motor where it leaks from and any potential issue with the motor......Good luck and hopefully its not a::bhg::

Thank Yall So Much,
It was indeed the radiator cap. Gasket did not seal all the way causing the overflow to shoot out the coolant; and empty it all out. Since I had no coolant it overheated very quickly and cooled off very fast.

I just have to say, I love this car. oh and added k&n air filter, And working on primering headers and buying gasket.
