over boosting?

ok i just got my car rebuilt and been through mileage and retorqued and all that...and i was just boosting to show a friend and i realized that my autometer boost gauge was saying 9psi???

i had bought a turbo from someone oh here its a ct26 with a to4e upgrade and i have a 3"downpipe and intake...

would that make me overboost? i thought it should be at 6.5 psi but it clearly said 9

Mine does that too as soon as I put on the 3" exhaust. It seems to overshoot more as the outside temps get under 35 degrees...I think its normal...

you're freeing up the exhaust. its natural for the boost to rise some

For me I had already upgraded the ct before I installed the exhaust. I did not have the problem before the 3" turbo back....

i have full 3" from turbo back and intake and i'm hitting 12.5psi so yes it's normal, as far as i know.

When your already pushing your luck with raised boost and it creeps up and detonates your motor...

yea i didnt want it to be just more boost and not more fuel...

its just a downpipe for me

yeah man my friend put an apexi intake and the whole 3" turbo back and nothing else and we hit 12psi all day....except fuel cut is gay.
