You won't have to take the turbo off...just take the WG actuator off like you did before...two bolts and a c-ring holding the arm to the bell crank. You should also be able to freely move the little bell crank that's attached to the flapper inside the turbine housing.

ok, i know the flapper was moving fine right before i put the turbo on... if the flapper does seem to be moving freely what would be the problem then? the bell house? because before i fixed the gasket the turbo would hold at the 13psi. so the waste gate was opening, unless it was really seeing more boost than that, seeing as how the boost controller was set to where it should be boosting like 30psi..lol

it wasnt seeing more boost. that would only be the case if you had a boost leak. the exh manifold is pre turbo. with the leak, you only had enough exhaust gas pressure to spool it that much.

are you sure you put the wastegate on correctly? what kind of turbo elbow do you have? is the wastegate arm bent at all?

hey got it all apart and looked at.. i think the problem was the bell housing kinda can twist a little bit to the right or left with out the arm moving, i think i had it twisted to where the arm was at a wierd angle and wouldnt push in just the right way to open the gate. i played around with it and found at some angles it would open just fine, some angles it wouldnt.. so i twisted it to the right position and im puting it all back on now. hope it works this way.. also found my boost controller to be kinda faulty, its a MBC,,, and now i cant remember which way it goes back on..lol.. on the boost controller theres a tiny hole on the top where air can vent out,, dont know why.. but either end you blow threw air will come out that hole unless the MBC is like set really high for boost

It's gotta look like this...if the actuator arm is at a different angle, it will bind. No work that way ;)
