Anyone ever tried using these types of products?

Instead of 4" diameter it would be 2-3/4" tall x 4-3/8" wide?

All the transition peices you would ever need can be bought here:

My 3" exhaust scrapes a bit now so going down to 2-3/4" while still having the flow of 4" would be awesome.

Comments? :)
i say do it!!!
and then write a feddback on it!
and maybe get me interested enuff to do it.

I'm trying to decide whether or not I should bother putting a catalytic converter on.... the shop i take my car too says I shouldn't bother because if a cop pulls me over and pops the hood it's game over anyways.

I'm thinking I should put one though in case he's lazy and just looks under the car. I could even put a fake one just so it looks like I have a cat. I dunno. What do you guys think? :)

I'm not doing this right now, I'm going to have a new exhaust manifold made in early spring, then get a new turbo, 4" downpipe that splits with a Y like this:

The flow would be divided to (1) my cut-out and (2) the rest of the regular exhaust. And with the regular exhaust run it with/without a cat (not sure yet) and the oval piping all the way back.

if you are doing a cut out, might as well keep the cops happy and use a cat, and try and keep the noise down. then when it comes time to race, use the cut out :)

We used a lot of 5" oval at my shop on all the 1,000+ RWHP 2JZ's we built.

It's hella expensive but you get some damned nice 5" exhaust with plenty of ground clearance.
