The newest update is now that I have painted my wheels finally.

At first I went through all sorts of trouble masking off the lip of the wheel. I would keep getting frustrated from it; enough to make it sloppy and useless.

After the first one, I said "fuck it" and didnt even bother masking the other wheels, which is good because the paint would not stick to the tire anyways! The spray was easy enough to control that it wouldnt matter much regardless.

I'm very happy with how it turned out. No sanding or prepping was necessary. I pressure washed the wheels after I found out about the intercooler, so they were as clean as I could get them without serious work.

One can of paint was just enough too. There are tiny spots that I'm not worried about which are hardly noticeable that could use some touching up, but I dont care enough; after all, they are sawblades and they look fine how they are now.

BTW, the paint was "flat black Krylon Fusion for plastics," which I was okay with using because it said "works with most metals" as well. I'll give them a clear coat later today.

well, you painted them flat, painting clear over them will make them gloss (unless you use a semi-gloss clear). I also think its funny how people think a layer of clear is somehow "protection". Unless your clear is powdercoat its just another layer of paint and if all you need is another layer of paint for protection, why not just put another layer of the paint you used in the first place. Like somehow clear is harder than other paint. I guess I could maybe see clear for UV protection, but on flat painted wheels that are going to get trashed pretty fast, I would just keep an extra can of paint around on hand to put a fresh layer on when they get banged up.

Not doggin ya, just trying to find the logic. I think you get the idea. No need to waste money on clear....UNLESS you WANT to add gloss to them. ;)

there's a little bit of paint on your tires..

I was impatient when masking them off and didnt care enough to do it right because it wouldnt really matter. The day that I would do it professionally is the same day I'd put aftermarket wheels on anyways. If I were painting them some ricer lime green or white or something that wasnt close to the tire color, then I wouldve paid more attention, but those colors are gay anyways.

I'm borrowing a friend's stock 1.8T sidemount to see if that'll work for a while. I have a feeling that my piping is way too big though.

UPDATE: 8/10 I've officially given up on getting the Supra running and driving before school. :( My loans are still stuck in some sort of permanent stasis, and even if they went through tomorrow, I wouldnt have enough time to get the parts and install them. Less than 11 days until I move back, so I'm going to do some basic stuff to the Miata and keep that as a DD.

2008 has been one of the worst years of my life. I hope it gets better soon.

This arrived today. Tomorrow the Magnaflow muffler arrives (in case you were wondering, I went for this). Its one of the biggest ones they make in 3", though I opted for the 8" wide instead of 11" wide which is slightly shorter but probably bigger overall. I think it will help with clearance and such, since I'm thinking I will have it at sort of a V mount or as vertical as I can.

The idea will be to put my WBO2 at the end of the straight pipe, bolt the straight piping part to my downpipe, then use the bend as a turn down/turn off. I went for the 180* in case I need to replace some of my downpipe from an incident where I accidentally bent the bottom into a D pipe..

Muffler arrived! I've already done some crude test fitment. I'd really like to have it running next week, but we'll see. I still have to loop the power steering lines until I get a rack, rewire the e-fans, put the intake and dash back together, and obviously put the exhaust in.

I'm not a big fan of painted sawblades (I like them stock colored) but damn, yours looks real good. Flat black FTW!

Thanks man! It was just a krylon can with no prep work or anything and I'm happy how it came out. I'm not expecting it to last forever, but for $4 a can, its good enough.

My Sob Story, by: Orion ZyGarian

Well for those wondering, I'm still alive and occasionally around lol. Unfortunately, nothing has changed on my car. It still sits on jackstands in the garage with half the dash either in my room or on the floor of the car, rear interior parts unbolted and scattered in the back, the exhaust in its boxes under the car; the stock intercooler I bought from a friend in the UCF area laying in the engine bay. Its really a sad mess. March 12th was the 5 year anniversery of me owning the car, and I never wouldve thought that I'd have so little done in that time! Basically the only differences are a new hood, switching from EBC to MBC, painted the sawblades flat black, and a MAF-T (gen 1). As of now, the list of stuff that still needs to be done before its even road worthy is:
☼: Drain the half tank of gas from 2006 out of the car; clean out the gas tank.
☼: Replace the power steering rack.
☼: Change the 2006 oil, and the filter which hasnt been changed while the car has been in my posession.
☼: Either get a FFIM, FMIC, and all the piping or put back together my intake system with factory IC. Buy an intake filter (had an HKS pos)
☼: Put the dash back together. Put the gauge cluster and A/C vents back in, wire up a relay to the switch for the e-fans, fix the mess with those wires and the turbo timer on the floor. I dont plan on doing this yet, as the car doesnt have a heater core. I was told by the previous owner that it was bypassed (because it leaked presumably). I'm basically already halfway to taking out the whole dash, so since this is still a long term (rest of my life) car and even though I live in Florida and it doesnt get cold really, Id still really like to have one as it can be used as a second radiator if the car starts overheating.
☼: Belts havent been touched before, prolly a good idea to replace those.
☼: No idea what condition the O-rings or the injectors are in.
☼: I have no tires for the car right now.
☼: Have to put the front bumper back together. Took about half of it off when I thought you needed to in order to get to the intercooler, which isnt the case.
☼: I had been using the battery for it in my DD Miata for quite a long time, so although it was brand new when I bought the car, its old and might need to be replaced by the time everything is back together.
☼: Make the exhaust for the car. All I have for it is a downpipe, but thats not even on right now..so I'd need to turn the J pipe and muffler I got for christmas into a nice simple turn down/side exit thing
☼: I currently dont have a shifter for the car. My friend just recently finished his 2JZ S14 swap and used an R154, but it didnt come with a shifter. So for whatever reason, I let him "borrow it". It was cut/welded a bit to fit the chassis though, so he just has to buy me one.
☼: I have no idea how old the trans/diff fluids are in the car, though Id much rather change them while I have the chance. I have a pretty broken thrust washer as well, though at least it isnt fubar like my friend's. Also, the brake fluid in the car is absolutely disgusting and needs to be flushed pretty badly.
☼: No registration for it. I still have my Supra GT tag on it, but it hasnt been registered in 4 years or something.
☼: A taillight bulb is out, so that means all of the taillights are out. I resoldered the taillight warning box thing, though I dont think it needed it. The bulb still needs to be replaced. Regardless, I've wanted to convert them to LEDs for quite a while now, so maybe thats next.

This is all the result of buying a modded car; someone else's project. It was ridiculous amounts of fun when I was 15-16, and way more power than I shouldve had, but I was very careful and thus still alive with an intact Supra because of it. It really needs some restomodding; now for the stuff I'd LIKE to do:
☼: Engine rebuild, drill out the #6 coolant passage in the head, fix the capped coolant lines on the block, replace hoses and shit as necessary, etc.
☼: FFIM, nicely sized Treadstone intercooler, MAP conversion.
☼: Standalone EMS, still a toss-up between AEM and MaftPRO.
☼: Oil filter relocation...using an E38 BMW (7 series) cartridge filter setup. Also a nice oil-to-water cooler, and convert the factory oil cooler into a power steering cooler
☼: GT35R or similar turbo, ported factory manifold with ceramic coating and shits
☼: Fuel. A walbro and some 750ccs or some shit, I dont know yet.
☼: LED tails and front corners conversion
☼: New Lancer spoiler..the one like the E36 M3s. It looks real slick and is about the size of the pre89 one. Oh yeah, and those vortex generators too.
ag_08lancergts_leftrear.jpg
Obviously would need some modding
☼: Custom vented hood, a la MkIV Top Secret. Some of you may remember me first mentioning it back in 05 or something when I initially made plans to make it. Nothing has really changed in that regard.
☼: Digital speedo a la Back to the Future
☼: I've been tinkering with the idea of switching to BMW hubs and using both the Ellipsoid 162 style wheels (330i/335i sport package) and the new 1 series 6 pot front calipers and 4 pot rears. Alignments will be easier with those wheels as well.
Ellipsoid+spoke+162+%E2%80%93+complete+wheel+and+tyre+set.jpg

Here's a bad, lazy photoshop too:
p1559634_1.jpg

☼: Paint, likely the Ram/Evo 8/9 electric blue pearl

On top of that, in the past year and a half, I've been out of school and most of that out of a job as well. During that time, I got a full time job, lost it for stupid reasons (but on good terms), my mom got diagnosed with breast cancer (shes recovering fine now), had a close family member die in my arms, moved back home from UCF/Orlando, went to the E.R. (a bill that as a poor college student, I am still paying), and a bunch of other random shit. It has certainly set me back, but I'm signed up for community college to get my Gen Eds out of the way, then back to UCF or USF. Its not until I finish college that I'll be able to do anything to the Supra. Such is life though. Hard to believe I'm already 21 too.

Holy shit! Orion has an update?! Unheard of!

Okay, so I recently got the chance to grab some parts off of an E32 ('93 740i) before it gets sent to the junkyard. A BMW friend of mine wanted the headlights for his car, so we took those...and looked at what else we could grab. Taillights, roundel off the trunk, instrument cluster, airbag, turn signals, some interior trim...oh, and these:

I know lots of people like their 2 holes, their 3 holes, etc., but I never cared much for anything but maybe the JZA70 lip; but when I first saw this lip, the ducts caught my eye:

I plan on making a lip and molding them flush into it, so it doesnt look like they're just separate parts. The driveway shots are for dicking around with photoshop
