Long time ago, before I got my first Supra, my mom and her ex both had RWD Corollas (he had a GT-S and she had an SR5), and he still had it. I wondered about it and wanted to put a 1JZ in one, but it ended up not being the best idea for a first car (70/30 weight distribution, hell to fabricate and wire)

Recently, he had someone offer him some cash for it and he would've taken the deal, but since my mom and him kept a pretty good relationship, he called us and wanted to see if I still wanted it. Well, you cant make power too easily in it, but it'd be a nice daily driver

Looked at it today. He started the car right up, and boy was I fuckin impressed! I've never heard an engine run so nice ever...

and that was beFORE I saw the miles on it...

250 fuckin thousand miles on it!! Now I HAD to have it...I love old cars that have buttloads of miles and still work!

If that wasnt kickass enough, I'm also getting it for $500. From the original owner, who has all documentation of everything!! Fuck yeah!

NICE!

Black 1986 Corolla GT-S Coupes = the best AE86 ever, haha.

Body looks to be in a bit better shape than mine, for now (mine's in the garage right now, getting a new body ;)). Mine only has 130k miles on it though, heh. I've got cruise control, power windows, power locks, etc. But man, that thing is in good shape, and for $500... sweet.

Have fun with it, that looks like it should clean up pretty nice, etc, if you're gonna go that route. I'm also the second owner of mine. :)

I don't have the power windows installed in that pic, I bought a factory setup from a guy in the US.

I can't wait to get it repainted, it's gonna be very minty fresh... unfortunately up here in Canada, winter takes it's toll on cars, unlike you people in Florida! ANGER!

aparently he has never heard of the words 'Clean, Degreaser, or Maintenance' lol, cause the engine looks like it needs a good cleaning and the interior looks like its never been touched by any sort of rag... lol, CLEAN IT UP!! then it'll be fricken sweet

why dont you stop spending money on numerous cars and actually make ONE of them nice or something? all your doing now is collecting a late 80s junkyard

Wow thanks  isnt that how you make a living anyways?

Sticker is JDM hot...but it can go in the roll of stickers that came off of my silver car, which include the 3 NOS stickers and 2 "R" racing stickers that were on it before I got it.

. The car had been sitting for a bit which is why the engine is dirty

Jeff: I doubt the car is much better than yours, let alone better at all. It will most definetly clean up quite nicely, but c'mon...you are Jeff Lange

your shifter boot and steering wheel are different from mine...those factory new? Or stock? Also, are those the stock wheels? I thought I had Supras on mine, but he said he bought it from the factory that way.

Also, fuck yes for inflatable lumbar! BOV noises included...I love it. One more question though...wtf is that middle pipe thing (intake?) above the radiator for??

I posted about the wheels on SF, they're not factory wheels, but the dealer probably put them on.

Canada got different steering wheels than the US.

Our shift boots are the same, mine's just cleaner, and my shift knob is the same one that came on your car, mine's just new (less than a year old).

Mine will definitely be nicer than yours next year, haha, but until then it sits stripped down in the garage, getting ready for new paint.

The intake pipe is there as a resonator of sorts I believe, I still have my intake/exhaust totally stock (brand new OEM catback), because I LOVE the way it sounds stock. :)

I was surprised and confused! He started it up, and of all things, this mini 1.6L 4 banger sounded GREAT! I dont blame you at all...I cant fathom it with ITBs!

As always, you have an excellent car Jeff. Took great care of it.

I'm glad everyone is an expert on my $500 Supra. Lets think for a bit...a Supra that clear as day was about to sell for $4000...but instead sold for $500 because it needed work. Does that NOT point out that perhaps it wasnt in the best condition, much less the AGING OIL SYSTEM on it?! Seriously, you guys need to stop and think.

I'm very happy to see so many people look at all the weak points in the system and notice them.

If I was dumb enough to sell it to you for $1000, then YOU'D have these problems and wouldnt get any flak about it, so STFU.

naw....it would of had a 1j in it months ago ;) And i do attend to my oil leaks asap :)

God dammit. Theres always a way around people from getting the same problems I do.

As far as the leak, I had a very small one so I checked my oil left and right and it always stayed full. The leak was the turbo seal, unless if there is more which I wouldnt doubt

Yes though, I am a Toyota guy, and I'm stuck in the 80s, so they go hand in hand.

Very nice.

If I had the cash(and a place to store them), I'd get an 85 GTS Celica again and one of those.

And don't listen to the haters about the leaks. What do you expect from a car that old. Just go through and get them little by little.

but leaks that are not attended to turn into rock knock and then ruin beautiful cars. :nono: This is what happens to most 7m's. The owners do not attend to the little problems and then they turn into HUGE problems. I just do not want to see this corolla also go down the drain.
