Im wanting to buy a 1jz to swap in to my car and I found one that looks like good deal for $800+$200 shipping. I was wondering if anyone has order form them and if their are good company. The name of the company is osaka jdm motors. Im also looking at a company call Japan Direct, but i havent got pricing form them yet.

Research, my friend, research. You will find that the motor will be $800, but the rest of the stuff to finish the swap will be another $5000. Do yourself a favor, research before spending a dime...

Do yourself a real favor and just talk to Aaron at www.driftmotion.com and you won't be dissappointed. It's going to cost more than $1000.00 but I think you get what you pay for. Good luck, and I agree with rakkasan...... RESEARCH!

ording= ordering...................;)

What kinda of car its going in? The best thing to do if you are putting it in a SUPRA/MKIII is to get a half cut and that will cover most of the stuff you need.
Just don't expect to pay anywhere near 800 dollars for it.
IF it is going in a car other than a MKIII, then you should be okay with a engine set, which is what appears to be the rpicing you got for,,,

I have done some research but I cant really find any good write ups. I've only found stright swaps out of front clips so they really dont tell what i need if i just got the motor. Im wanting to put it in to a 89 supra, If I were to buy just the motor what all would need.

I know you'll need a radiator, intercooler and pipes, depending on what year supra you have, you may need motor mounts. You'll need the 1jz bellhousing for your tranny. You'll need the 1jz wiring harness. You'll need................

You need a front clip from www.driftmotion.com ........................:biglaugh:

if ur doing this swap it will cost u:
1.$2800-$3600 for front clip. i payed 3600 but got most of the things i needed.
2.$175 for Bic Motor mounts, unless u have round motor mounts. but still recomend them
http://bicperformance.com/products.htm
3.$100 for used r154 driveshaft or 335 for jawsgear 1pc steel driveshaft. ignore if auto.

4.2jzgte throttle cable from local toyota parts for like $75
5.2jzgte high pressure power steering hose from driftmotion.com $100 new

6. have fun with wiring it urself or buy wiring harness made for plug in installation from: https://935motorsports.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=79_14_144&products_id=992
7.put it all together:naughty:
8.have fun with performance mods etc. and drifting, donuts, burnouts and smoking (APS=AMERICAN PIECES OF SHITS)V8 pieces of shits etc.(no offense to people who like them):evil2:

Links for front clips:
1.3000 really good deal many performance mods already on it
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-...tegoryZ33615QQihZ014QQitemZ330043779300QQrdZ1
2.3200 no comment look for urself
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-...tegoryZ33615QQihZ014QQitemZ330043779300QQrdZ1
3. 2700 driftmotion.com
http://store.driftmotion.com/productdetails.php?sid=1454a7b6f22552&product_id_int=188
4.there sure r more but its for u to find:naughty:

it cost me a total of $4940 but had someone install it for 800(included in total)
but its totaly worth it its like having a baby mkiv in ur garage. im proud to have the power of the 1jz at my disposal because its also very reliable and powerful and fast and u get more than what u pay for. because would u have $30000 for a mkiv or like $7000est. for somthing similar to it just different body and similar hp and tq. (just my opinion,i dont have 30000 to blow off on somthing stock)

GOOD LUCK!!!!!:biglaugh:

i bought my clip from Osaka Motors

They are ok people but thier customer service is bad if there is a problem.

i have had a few problems with my clip

But if your in the states it's probably best. to buy from a place in the US

Personaly i would go for a clip unless you have lots of plans for other things
