Opinions needed on I&E CAM condition

Before I go out looking for another set of cams, I wanted to ask you guys a few questions.

I will be dropping this motor off at the machine shop and I wanted to know if I should just use these cams or go find better looking ones.

Pretty sure you know the answer here. How do the journals look? I would be looking for a head.

oddly enough the head looks fine, no gouges. would it be ok for the machine shop to grind and polish them?

if they polish them, you will need to measure the cam clearances in the cam saddle and most likely have to lap and line bore the cam caps/tunnels.

@Enrique: This is out of my turbo car ;]

@grim: I might aswell just get some good condition used cams, since it would be cheaper than to have the machine shop to more work to get the clearances correct.

my cams looked the same when i did my HG, i just put them back on and i have no problems so far, but if you can manage to find better cams then i say go for it, or upgrade to better cams

I was thinking about UG but the BC cams are too expensive for what I'm doing. I leave for Japan in less than 2 months, I just need to get the motor back to being healthy so I can drive her home.
