Whats up everyone. I've been searching around for awhile for a used Supra to buy for a project car.
Just need your own personal opinion on what you think should be the "reasonable" price you would pay for this 1991 Toyota Supra Turbo Targa 5 speed with 171,000 miles on it. Here is the good and bad I notice about this car I'm looking at:
Good
-Engine seems to pull very strong based on the test drive I done.
-Body and paint seem to be in good shape.
-Clean title and Carfax report.
-Does not look like its been in any accident based on my visual inspection.
-Car is all stock.
-Brake, steering, suspension, and exhaust seems to be operating accordingly.
-Supposedly a Toyota dealership a few years back rebuilt the engine.
Bad
-Leaks power steering fluid. Not sure whats broken (e.g. hose, pump or gear housing)
-All 4 tires needs to be replaced.
-Hood strut broken.
-Fog lights not ligting on (could be the fuse or bullbs).
-Antenena not going all the way down (could be the guiding cable).
-Interior armrest broken/ripped.
-Driver side door handle loose causing hard time opening door (could be loose screws).
-The owner/dealership has no previous work/parts receipts so no idea if HG or timing was changed recently.
The Kelly Blue Book value rates this car as in "fair" condition for around $3,100 with all the bad issues I mentioned. The owner said he will fix the power steering leak. Now given what I wrote above, what reasonable price would you personaly offer for this car?
Thanks for any opinion you can provide.:icon_bigg
