I got a center console trim piece, the center console box part, with the armrest, and both rear panels above the seats I am missing. Also reserved a 1997 1uzfe. Gotta pick it up in 2 weeks.

I will be posting a little more info about the spindle swap when I have some time. Today I pulled off all the arms/spindles and the car is sitting on one of those awesome steelies I had (on the frame)...

I am going to sand blast and paint the SC400 arms soon. I will getting my buddy to make some Delrin control arm bushings for it. Also I want to get some new hardware for it etc etc... I will post pics as my progress continues. Just have not had much time to work on it due to school :(.

It should be super sweet when its done in the next week or so....

This is a fun build - it's nice to see the MKIII get cleaned up and made whole again. I know that you always keep your cars as clean as possible. (I remember your Camry on TN, a LONG time ago..)

Awesome! Can't wait! I was thinkin about tryin to swap the subframes over from a SC400. Not sure what would be involved with that swap but would rather do just the spindles if it's easier.

Sort of funny how that works, I was always on in the Corolla forums (had two 91s). After I got my Supra I moved here, the Supra section there is dead!

I found a 1997 1uz for $300 with transmission... Seems like the right way to go. Just no where to store it.. The guy said he will hold it for me, not sure if that will happen!

I just finished designing the custom Delrin bushings for the SC/MK4 arm/spindle swap in ACAD, just need to get them cut.

Sweet! Lemme know how much you want for a set if you're willing. I may snake 2 sets from you while you're at it. Hopefully give you a price break on materials and labor. I'm sold on that idea for sure!

Well once I test it, I will figure out if I will sell them or distribute the acad file or what.

But first things first... I read some issue with people using the MK3 arm on the MK4/SC spindle... I apparently throws caster off and what not. I am using the MK4/SC LCA, so it should be different.

Im thinking this is due to the design of the spindle. So after looking at it... I am not sure, I need to remount them to tell but at worse I will need to make a custom upper control arm to reposition the spindle so its vertical.

We will see soon. I am not too terribly worried.

Great news... Mounted them... found the caster issue... its a big issue... found a way to fix it that apparently no one has posted about ever... All in good time I will write up info about it.

Also another thing you can look at this as a good thing or not... The spindle design allows the wheel to be sunken in about 1" compared the MK3 spindles. Works great for me because I was worried about fitting my wheel in... Now I know it will fit.

The sand blaster failed. I wire wheeled what I could on the spindles and LCA's, but I really need to get in the nooks and crannies with a smaller wire wheel or a sand blaster that works.

I did polish the UCA's. Nothing special, 200, 400, 1000, Metal Polish, but I think it gives it a more finished look. I need to clear coat them still. Pics dont do it justice. Wait until its outside.

Trying to make the bushings this weekend... also trying to work on the SC too... Hopefully it gets done though, I would love for a rolling chassis again!
