i was wondering if there was a way to run open turbo because my intake hose broke and i cant get a replacement for a few days. i have my maf-t relocated into the intercooler piping so i was wondering what to do with the hoses that go to the intake hose. thanks

well i was planing on putting some mesh just so that wouldn't happen. i was just asking what to do with the hoses that go into the inatke because right now my car wont even idle. i was thinking it might have something to do with the hoses that go into the intake hose. Isnt one for the vacuum feed??

I highly doubt mesh would save your turbo from dirt and debris too much more than running without it.

oh, and when I clicked this thread I was expecting something about open turbo off the exhaust side. o_o

the one on the bottom for power steering you can leave off.
the one for the bov (not sure what you are running) can be capped. just dont boost or it will put undue stress on your turbo. ** ok i see you are running the greddy rs so this prob wont apply**
the one for the pcv you can just leave open for right now.
the one for the isc plug for now. it would be best if you ran that between the maf sensor and the throttle body anyway. so that should be changed. but for right now if you have to run the car cap it.

fifthed. are you saying you have a maft pro setup or you relocated the afm post turbo? if its the latter i would like to see as its been talked about but not implimented that i know of. either way a few days w/o a filter won't cause much harm as long as you keep to the main roads and stay out of dusty areas. remember the turbo spins at around 75k to 100k rpms and even at that speed a speck of dust is no bueno.

Wow. that would like almost melt the firewall, alone with all the hoses on it o_O. It would possibly shoot out some flames too. But look at it like this, minimal turbo lag!
