Open road races

ok I don't know where this should be so i put it here.

I was wondering, are there any supras in the open road races? supras that can sustain 180+mph for an hour or so?

There's this 928 gt that i saw. it races the open road races and it averages 190mph. there's also this other 928 that is 200+mph.

I've seen that, Getaway in Stockholm.

I'm talking about a race where in the US, they close a stretch of interstate and people drive all out. Like this:

Not sure if any MKIII's have run it...I have some videos somewhere of a retired Busch Grand National Series Buick running it, they almost lose it several times coming out of corners and hitting grass/gravel along side the road, and oooohhh the sound.

Also, trying to find results for that Supra, nothing so far.

Edit: Have found one result with speeds from 02', it was in the 150mph class, and averaged 149.539 and highest measured speed was 157mph. Guys name is Steve Waldman, apparently he was a regular, because I've found several other results, all in the 150mph range.

Yea that's the only one supra i have found so far.
y aren't there more? are we just not capable of fast mph for sustained periods? i believe supras are definitely fast enough to run it. or people just not really interested in this type of race?
