You sure? I've always been told that transmissions are almost always lubricated based on the input shaft -- when in neutral that isn't spinning so there is no lubing going on.

There are exceptions of course. Saturn designed most if not all of their transmissions to be lubricated either way in an effort to appeal to the RV crowd...

The car was not in gear, However i did find that the transmission drain plug is missing as well as the fill plug. So that could be the cause of this whole delema. I just towed a surpa up from phoenix last sunday the same way and had no problems.

I hope you all can learn from this i would hate for this to happen to someone else, especialy some kid who saved for 16 years to get his first car..lol

This is why I rented a full trailer to tow the 89 I bought from memphis TN back to Nashville TN.
$100 vs $60 is not worth the headache of me disconnecting the drive shaft and hoping the car will be fine.

Lesson learned huh?

Man sorry to hear, I was told about this back in the day, because i wanted to tow a supra to my house and get a dolly. but i'm sorry to hear man, i'll swing back through once pictures are up
