How many time have you heard of Nikola Tesla in high school? or in day to day life?, personally i knew of him for a very long time but i have never researched exactly what he did.

A time-line of his life
http://timelines.com/topics/nikola-tesla

It leaves out a lot of info! much more happened that is very important.

Here is the list of his patents
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Tesla_patents#Introduction

Tesla's inventions and developments include the AC motor, the bifilar coil, various devices that use rotating magnetic fields, the alternating current polyphase power distribution system, the fundamental devices of systems of wireless communication (legal priority for the invention of radio), radio frequency oscillators, devices for voltage magnification by standing waves, robotics, logic gates for secure radio frequency communications, devices for x-rays, apparatus for ozone generation [3], devices for ionized gases, devices for high field emission, devices for charged particle beams, methods for providing extremely low level of resistance to the passage of electrical current,[4] means for increasing the intensity of electrical oscillations, voltage multiplication circuitry, devices for high voltage discharges, devices for lightning protection, the bladeless turbine, and VTOL aircraft.

This man almost single-handedly gave use the 20th century. He had ideas of transmitting pictures over the air and ending war with partial beams or what everyone called the death ray when they ridiculed him.

What i found threw that information is that he specifically understood how electrons acted in his own way, he DID NOT FOLLOW THE CONVENTIONAL MODEL OF ELECTROMAGNETISM.

This is a video of Tesla by Tom Bearden; Lieutenant Colonel U.S. Army (Retired). President and Chief Executive Officer, CTEC, Inc. MS Nuclear Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology. BS Mathematics, Northeast Louisiana University. Graduate of Command & General Staff College, U.S. Army. Graduate of Guided Missile Staff Officer's Course, U.S. Army (equivalent to MS in Aerospace Engineering).

It could be that we simply have never taught him in schools because there was so many that resented him for achievements, i really don't know. What would happen if some upstart inventor said everything your doing is wrong!? and destroyed thousands of peoples life's works by turning everything up on its head?

“Let the future tell the truth, and evaluate each one according to his work and accomplishments. The present is theirs; the future, for which I have really worked, is mine.”
-Nikola Tesla

True, he made the 20th century happen, but it goes farther than that, we wouldn't have this electronic world we live in today without him.
