Snow is news to you guys!?

Wow I am so jealous of where you people must be living. Snow, lots of it and sub -30c temps here since October are generally the normal.

My Supra could leave the garage right now if it wanted to. Due to the huge snow drift blocking the door and the fact I would get no traction.

Trust me the sparkle and shine of snow fades very quickly when it is paired up with kill you dead real fast kinda cold.

Now if I was a kid and we had a snow day from school then I might be all with ya!

the first good snow is news... i get to ride the beast!!! after that the suck sets in while i clear the driveway.

the beast is the 91 polaris rxl

I wanna ride a snow dinosaur...

Thanks for the degree symbol shortcut Kangae, I know quite a handful of them, but never ventured up past 200...

Anyway, driving on snow and ice with summer tires is something of a joke. If I lived in Phoenix, where it *does* snow once in a decade or so, I wouldn't spend money on snow tires, it'd be a waste. Driving up here, I have two different sets of tires. No need for studded tires, but I'd like to try them out sometime, just to see if they provide a noticeable amount of additional traction over good snow tires or not...

Yeah that's the thing, I love driving in snow, but I don't drive on ice (when I can help it). But yeah the snow tires went on my car around thanksgiving, and it was almost too late.
