Normal bolts you have to change.. but as they're studs.. can they be re-used? Who has done this?

So they're well informed on all things Toyota?scotty;1585001 said:Was in at a Nissan/Subaru workshop and mentioned it, two mechanics said that you always have to change the head bolts. Told them they were studs, then they got unsure..
I've reused Toyota Bolts in stock to very mild builds but for anything beyond that I do the same and take it as an opportunity to upgrade the hardware!Jeff Lange;1585002 said:It really depends on the engine and the bolts being used. On the 7M, neither stock bolts nor ARP bolts need to be replaced, as neither a torque-to-yield.
That being said, there are procedures to check the stock bolts to ensure they are still within spec. To be on the safe side, I usually do like to replace them, but I do that for most bolts, lol.
