Well I had this truck for five years. 2002 Silverado 4.8 Vortec V8. I loved it but it had over 160k miles on it and possibly some tranny problems in the near future.

So I decided I'd get a car with some better gas mileage. 2008 Suzuki Forenza.

Well the whole month I've had it I've felt like less of a man and it's been driving me crazy. I am in no means able to purchase a brand new truck but had to have another one. So I'm the only person I know to trade a 2008 model vehicle with 2700 miles for another 2002 model. What a dumbfuck!

2002 GMC Sierra SLE with 83k miles on it. 5.3 Vortec It will be my new daily driver. Looks a lot like my Silverado but is nicer and has more options.

I guess nobody filled you in on the fact that GMC isn't any better? ;) Hopefully it lasts long enough that you can pick up a used Tundra in a few years without breaking the bank!

Well yes, technically speaking....seems as though you'd get more options for the price you'd paid. I was looking at some 07/08 GMC's when they were going really cheap, so someday I'll get one.

Well being the hick I am, I felt I needed an American truck. Besides, I couldn't afford even a used Tundra.
Besides, I didn't buy just because it was a GMC. I have actually been looking at Chevy's. I just happen to drive past this one on the way to the mall. I like GM trucks better than any others so this one was just fine.

expensive mistake.

Aren't you the pot calling the kettle black. I've seen your post in OT over on SF. Talk about expensive mistake. You may have dodged the bullet this time....:icon_razz :biglaugh:

so which you like better, the GMC version or the Chevy version?

I loved my Chevy but the GMC is nicer. I like the options this one has. This motor will get up and go better too. We'll see though. I've just had it 6 hours. I may hate it tomorrow. ;)

Damn........I was enjoying having you as my Bitch. I guess you can be my freind again instead. That's much nicer than the Suzuki, I don't care when they were both built. The only problem I have with it are those two little letters on your key. I've never been a big fan of any GM vehicle, but I used to be responsible for a fleet of 10 Chevy trucks, and they were not bad at all.

Scott, I'll still be your bitch, but I'm no longer free. Don't worry, I'm cheap.
My key has three letters. GMC. They're special.

if you want an american truck get a new tundra. built in texas. alot of the domestics are actually built in other countries.. like mexico....

Well I'm going to have to back track on my "American" statement. I have the original window sticker for it and it was assembled in....oh God, I can barely speak the word.......shit this is hard.....CANADA!!!! WTF?????????????
I can buy an "import" assemble in the USA but not a domestic?
Actually, I'm ok with it. It was built on this side of the pond. I guess those Canadian fuckers can do just as good a job as the Americans.:icon_razz
