Actually, you did not miss much at the drags...
Wait for 2+hours, then make one run....
Then wait while the other cars go a few more times, oil down the track some more, then you might get to run again.... MIGHT is the operative word...
Hell, organized street racing would have been more fun, and likely more effective. (And less damageing since a MK4 managed to find the oil left on the track by the leaky GN cars before us, and kissed the wall.)
I think we either go drag racing early in the day, while it's still light out, or the track decides to turn on the lights in the pit and staging area so we can see WTF is going on. Another problem was how crowded the track was. There were far too many people at this race track to have a club event being held. Too much other shit going on, and too many "dedicated" drag racers slowing down the staging lanes, oiling down the track and generally pissing and moaning about having to run with JDM cars.. (Yes, I'm saying the GN crowd was 90% assholes, and 9% tolerance with about 1% of them being actually interested in our cars.) I talked to a few of them, and all they had to say was my "real" drag car runs 10's... Sure, but your real car rode here on a trailer, and broke 3 times in 4 runs... What an acomplishment...
