In regards to...? For my company we are digesting a merger (bought out another company, we are nowone ofthe largest independant oil and gas co. in the us). We are doing well on our internal production budget and as long as prices remain in the $65-85 range all is good in my patch!

I hope the merger goes smoothly. We were bought out 6-7 years ago and that company ran us in to the ground. Once we were sold again and the leash was let loose, we got back to being a very productive company. past 5 years have been great with the exeption of the recent 2 years almost now. when the oil industry got hit, it hurt us bad. Our full "crew" now is what we considered a skeleton crew a few years ago. But so far this year has been very good.

i'm bad, i'm nationwide
fortuately, on my side, we have never had an economic-based layoff. once the hill is punched, the oil has gotta go somewhere! but right now at 80+ a bbl, things are going apeshit, we have been about 300 loads behind for over a month now, 7 on 1 off, 14 hours a day gets old pretty damn quick. and then some brainiac in the main office decided that going to gps-based log systems would be a good idea. (frderally mandaded as of 2013, thanks to the patriot act, btw). we have had to "import" about 25 drivers to even try to attempt to keep up. The local office has turned into a major mis-managed clusterfuck. Im just about done with the place, have had two job offers to go regional otr in the last 24 hours.
