it's blow by. if you install an oil catch can it would decrease the amount of oil that you find when you take off the piping. if you read a toyota service manual it will tell you that its not uncommon to see a residue. by residue I mean that when you take the accordian hose off, you will might see about a teaspoon or so in-between the ribs depending on how fresh your rebuild is. Does this help?

Your intercooler pipes must feed oil back into the motor.

HAHAHA LMFAO at Crisp!

Think of it this way; oil can only gather from two places.

1- the accordian hose-the PCV system(the two metal/rubber hoses ontop of the valvecovers that connect to the accordian hose) which means there is excessive blowby which pressurizes the crankcase instead of "venting" it. (bad piston rings. the motor probaly runs like a dogshit if this is the case)

2- The turbo seals- oil seals(oil, from the turbo outlet, to the throttle body, and possibly from the accordian hose if the PCV leak is bad enough which would be the PCV leak) which is pretty self-explanitory.

So first check the ribs of the accordian hose, thats half the reason i think they are there for, if there is no oil there then you directly know the oil is coming from the turbo outlet(Compressor bearing oil seals). Its pretty simple...
