I read awhile ago that it is note " hard " difficult to remove the oil squirters from the 7m-gte block. Well today I took apart a '89 Engine and if you rotate the crank you can get to, two squirters at a time with easy...

I don't get why people say it's hard they can fall into the piston and then get a little thing to grab them with. No one bought my engien so I tore it all apart, head gasket was perfect, pistons perfect.

I did not know that the '89 came with a 6M CRANK. Maybe the early ones did, but it has the thick block* just different.. crank

I have pic's here.

Shit, I never would have thought to rotate the crankshaft!! Thanks.

This should be stickied!!

I guess I give up. Anything I say isn't useful? I saw a post and every person suggested removing the crank to " replace " these. Anyhow Nate.. it's always nice running into you.

All 89's have 6M crank.

Early 89's have early mounts. (Up to 01/89).
Late 89's have late mounts (01/89+)

There was a part number change on the block in 03/89. Not sure if that's when it changed to the thicker type, but it seems likely.

Crank changed in 08/89, which coincides with the introduction of the 1990 model year. In other countries (Japan, etc), this would still be considered a 1989 Supra, here it is a 1990.

Well, I am down, I need to regenerate some wins here. I guess Now I know what cranks comes with what years.

Less talk for me, more research. :3d_frown:

I I checked the bearing and the two main caps at each end had some good wear. The crank itself has no wear which I guess is great for me, I don't need the crank but yeah.
