I don't know why contacting Driftmotion about the Driftmotion turbo kit is the last thing on your list...
What is going on with all the grinding? Rotate the compressor housing up a little, swing the short 90 away from the manifold just slightly, and a clock the 90 a little forward. If that doesn't work, I would send you another short 90 instead of the long one. I have our phone number posted everywhere, I answer pm's as quick as possible, and my email address is
aaron@driftmotion.com. A thread I have no knowledge about will not help in this situation. As with any single turbo kit of this nature, it's not a simple installation and should not usually be expected to be fully completed in a single day. You can see in the pics below that the fitting is close to the manifold, but not touching. It's also not pointing upward.
The turbo will never be clocked exactly at the right angle when you receive it, all the bolts around the exhaust housing and compressor housing should be loosened and all this mocked up before anything gets tightened down. I usually line up the fittings and housing before I even have the manifold on the engine. The manifolds are hand made, so sometimes the tubes are a little higher or wider from one manifold to another. A spacer might be the best option if it just will not clear, and I would be able to send you one if it will help. Call me on Monday and we can get this all worked out 909-630-8969
