Its not going to be run like that, I kinda just threw it up there so it would be ruled out. I'm not risking everything on a halfass job.

Ok. I didn't mean to imply that. Sorry. You just never know on here ya know!? ;)

It's looking good though.

Im going to just make a small spacer to get this damn thing on, so I start mocking things up only to find my damn gasket is ass-backwards!!! I can't seem to catch a break on this 'PLUG AND PLAY' kit.

Divided holes match up, bolt holes don't

All companies screw up, it's how they fix the mistakes that makes them a good company or a bad one.

Aaron's a stand up guy, let him know about the issues...

What about grinding the oil outlet fitting surface down it looks like there’s space to be had there.

I don't know why contacting Driftmotion about the Driftmotion turbo kit is the last thing on your list...
What is going on with all the grinding? Rotate the compressor housing up a little, swing the short 90 away from the manifold just slightly, and a clock the 90 a little forward. If that doesn't work, I would send you another short 90 instead of the long one. I have our phone number posted everywhere, I answer pm's as quick as possible, and my email address is aaron@driftmotion.com. A thread I have no knowledge about will not help in this situation. As with any single turbo kit of this nature, it's not a simple installation and should not usually be expected to be fully completed in a single day. You can see in the pics below that the fitting is close to the manifold, but not touching. It's also not pointing upward.
The turbo will never be clocked exactly at the right angle when you receive it, all the bolts around the exhaust housing and compressor housing should be loosened and all this mocked up before anything gets tightened down. I usually line up the fittings and housing before I even have the manifold on the engine. The manifolds are hand made, so sometimes the tubes are a little higher or wider from one manifold to another. A spacer might be the best option if it just will not clear, and I would be able to send you one if it will help. Call me on Monday and we can get this all worked out 909-630-8969

If I knew they put a back asswords gasket like that in with the manifold, do you really think I would have sent it to you like that? I mean seriously, why are you not letting me know about this first?

I just want to make it clear that I'm not knocking Aaron or DM or anything, I'm just trying to fix things and get my car running. I work on the car very late in the evening and don't find out about these things until its late at nite. I don't want this thread to turn into some trash talking thing.

I hear ya, if any thing this problem has shown us how well ran DM is by aaron. I got a lot of stuff from DM with no problems yet, but it's when problems come up that you find out how good a store is. seeing this kit Installed, I now want one.

I'm really sorry you are experiencing these problems, and I will do whatever I can to make it right. I have a new manifold and fittings that work together for sure, send me back that manifold and gasket and I'll send you a different one. It's hard to keep on top of everything like small changes in the manifolds, I ordered the same part from the same place and they changed it on us without notice. That t4 gasket is embarassing, I can't believe they made it like that.

I have had lots of positive feedback on the kits, but an issue is sure to come up at some point. The manifolds I have now will solve the clearance problem on your kit. Call me!
