I have an autometer ultralite II that's going in my car once the swap is done. Yesterday I was working on the engine some and could not get the sender unit into the block. The unit is not so big it won't just sit in the hole barely, but I can not get it to thread into the hole. The block was painted by the machine shop so perhaps a good bit of paint got built up in the hole? Has anyone else ever had this problem? Seems this sender unit thread size/type would be pretty universal.
