I have a JDM engine which has a different sender, do I need to switch wires to make my USDM cluster read my oil pressure correctly, or do I need to change more?

what are the wires by the way? I have access to many many junked Supras, so finding the parts is not an issue, it's actually knowing what to pull..:icon_razz

I have an early 89 5-speed if that matters..

I'm pretty sure you've just got to swap the sender.


I have no idea what you're asking about wires....

I have a 88 and it's a round small canister with a button like on the end that the wire slides on. And on the other end about a 1/4" threaded nipple that threads into the block. It's about 2" in diameter.

its located underneath the distributer next to the oil filter.if your harness is still hooked up to it, there is only 2 wires that go to the back of the passenger side of the engine. thats the sensor wire, and the o2 sensor. just follow them both from where the harness distributes by the thermostat housing. the oil one is usually a bit tighter.

Sorry AJ, but the thickness of a conventional plastic bag, large enough to contain all of us and withstand the force of "shaking" us in it would be too think to be practically measured as X mil. Of course if you'd care to elaborate as to which type of material the bag is made of.... :naughty:

EDIT: Oh, and what the temperature while all of this is going on? Do we assume a nice neutral 74ºF?

EDIT2: And how many times is the bag shaken and what it the range of travel and peak velocity?

EDIT3: Are we allowed to just cut to the chase and take measurements?

EDIT4: What are the dimensions of the bag and is it pleated or straight cut?

EDIT5: Plain cut open end, Zip-Lock or the old flap n fold style sandwich bag?
