do what? the line that comes off the valve cover is just a vent. it has nothing to do w/ oil flow.

are you maybe talking about the oil cooler?

yeah thats the one the one on my turbo motor was junk and the one on my na-t has a small crack where it connects to the valve cover and it doesn't leak oil but i ws wondering if it could leak pressure and cause drastic drop in oil pressure like one the stock guage 45-55 during normal driving and like 15 duiring idle

I'm still reeling from reading the "stalling after sfac" thread so forgive me if seem confused. What oil pressure conundrum? 15 at idle and 45-55 at cruise? That's a conundrum?

I'm puzzled by your hose question too. Putting confusion about what it does aside if you see an obviously defective part wouldn't you just go ahead and change it?

Read the thread ;).

I dunno about his blood pressure but his oil pressure is fine. A bit high for my taste but within spec. What he really needs is to learn something about the car before he goes anywhere near it with tools.

i thought that the oil pump put oil thru this line i guess i was wrong not the first time but what then would cause the loss of pressure at idle

What loss of pressure at idle? You said you are getting 15, which is high if anything. It's been a while but I remember getting around 5 at idle with my 89. I'm pretty sure anything above 4 is within spec.

I do appreciate the lol that this thread brought though.
